Hello, and welcome to ThirdRowSeat. My name is Erin and this is my story – the tale of the joys and challenges of living a slow, full life in a busy world and on a slim budget.
We bought our first Volvo 240 Wagon last year when we were engaged. We thought it was just going to be a cheap some-what reliable car that would get us through for a few years. She has turned into much more. I remember the first time that Mr. ThirdRowSeat uttered the phrase “Volvo lifestyle,” he had embraced her slowness, her tape-deck, and her lack of cup holders. He said the Volvo reminded him to slow down and enjoy the simpler things. How lovely.
We are doing our best to look for the simpler things, to take time to pause and rest, to love God and honor each other, to cultivate our garden and our home, and fill our lives and our table with those we love.
